CSEA is changing. Like many other organizations we are seeing a population shift as the Baby Boom generation passes into middle age and beyond.

  At the 97th Annual Delegate Meeting held in Lake Placid, New York from September 17 - 21, 2007 Local 670 was presented with the Membership Achievement Award for having close to 100% membership. The banner may be seen hanging up in Room 120.

The Tax Local 690 held a general membership meeting on Thursday, November 15th and invited the Department of Labor, Local 670. The meeting was held at the Polish American Citizens Club and was open to all of the members of both the Local's.

  All four of the officers from  Labor were in attendance, as well as some of their members.

  Everyone was treated to pizza and soda. After dinner, two of the Negotiating team members, Bill VanGuilder and Mark Davis, went through the highlights of the contract and answered any questions that the members had.

  The meeting was a great success and everyone walked away with a better understanding of the tentative contract. ~ Gary LaMountain

Test Preparation Booklets for Civil service Exams:
CSEA takes pride in its commitment to helping union members advance in their chosen fields. Therefore CSEA has made available the civil service test prep booklets aimed at helping union members improve their careers.

  The NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training (the Partnership) is pleased to announce its Skills for Success Courses for NYS employees represented by CSEA.These courses are free to the employee.

  Civil Service has created a new Web site called Career Mobility Office. This site will allow employees to learn more about the State's title structure, job descriptions and qualifications, career mobility options and agency and position locations. Career Mobility Office.
