| This is to inform CSEA Local 670 members that as of January
31, 2006 Lisa Persicke has resigned as our Local 670 Treasurer due to the
fact she will be retiring April 5th.
Lisa has been involved with the Department of Labor and CSEA Local 670
for 38 years. Lisa started in Personnel, than went to Cashiers’, Local
Office 1 Albany, Central Assignment and for the past twenty-one years, Lisa
has worked with Quality Assurance.
Lisa has been active in CSEA and Local 670 as a key person for Distribution
for all shop Stewards, Bulletin Boards, Picnic Committee, Budget and Audit
Committee, Women’s Committee member, State Delegate and for the past
two years as Local 670 Treasurer. The Executive board appreciates having
the opportunity to have worked with Lisa and would like to thank her for
all the hard work, support, guidance and encouragement Lisa has given to
Local 670. |

| The Executive Board of CSEA Local 670 would like
to introduce and welcome a board Gail Stewart as our new appointed Treasurer.
Gail has worked with the Department of Labor for six years. Gail has served
as a Local 670 Shop Steward; a member of the Women’s Committee and an
elected Delegate.
The Executive Board is honored to work with Gail and we welcome her to
our CSEA Local 670 family. |

| I, Vennie Turpin, have accepted the position of President of
Local 670. I started working with the state in 1977 as an alternate Shop
Steward, then becoming Shop Steward, Floor Captain, Chair Special Olympics
Committee, and Women’s Committee member, Secretary of Local 670, State
Delegate and Vice President of Local 670. I have worked in Administrative
Analysis-UI, Computer Room and for the past sixteen years, I’ve been
with the Property Office. I look forward to working with each and every one

| Maryann Wetra has accepted the position of CSEA Local 670 Vice
President. Maryann has been in Building 12 for 14 ½ years. She started
in the Personnel Office, then to the Budget Office and she’s been with
Research & Statistics for the past 5 years. She has been active in CSEA
in the Women’s Committee taking part in different project and Conferences,
State Delegate and our Newsletter editor. |

| Betty McLaughlin has accepted the position of CSEA Local 670
Secretary. Betty has been with the NYS Department of Labor for 7 years. She
started in Cashier’s Unit, then to the Appeal Board in Troy and she’s
been with Research & Statistics for the past 3 years. She has been a
member of the Women’s Committee with CSEA participating in different
projects. |
